I took a picture using the new "studio" camera Mom got...I don't know how to use it very well yet. I don't think it does the painting justice too well.
So, Little Red Riding Hood is my favorite fairy tale, though I'm hardly ever a fan of the Wolf being portrayed as a villain. Often I come across so many adaptations of the story, so I wanted to make a more traditional look to it. As it is shown, there is a path in the forest, but her eyes stray away from the direction in front of her, as if she were unsure of something. And just a short distance from her in the deeper shadows of the woods lurks the beast, watching.
The inspiration for the title comes from a line in the movie, 'The Company of Wolves', from the grandmother played by Angela Lansbury, who also did vocal talents for 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Anastasia'.
I greatly enjoyed painting this.
